The Evermore Community Improvement District is pleased to announce The Park Place Activity Center Study Report. The study area is a portion of the Highway 78 CID centered on the Rockbridge/ U.S. 78 intersection and extending from the DeKalb County line on the west to approximately Stone Drive on the east. It contains a variety of residential, commercial, office and light industrial development as well as some vacant land.

The proposed project offers tremendous possibilities for area neighborhoods, businesses, Gwinnett County, and the CID. For example, attractive, safe streetscapes will reinforce the activity center's image as a business and service destination of choice. Innovative redevelopment of housing and retail through public-private partnerships will help to rebuild a sense of the community. Traffic management and road design strategies will seek to reclaim the activity center for pedestrian and neighborhood use. Design guidelines will improve the appearance of the area and establish a theme with a strong visual identity. Clearly defined gateways at each end of the study area will signal renewal. A real estate market study will guide the redevelopment of empty strip centers in the area.
